Breakfast in the same place with the hotel desk, where people were coming in for check in and out.
Stairs, lack of parking, looking into the hall/wall!
The location was great
The train tracks right agains the building were a bit rough to deal with. I didn't notice them when I booked the room
The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner was nice to have. The coffee maker is a nice touch. And the staff were friendly.
Some of the rooms smelled so bad of smoke! The breakfast left much to be desired. The room for it (office) could not handle more than four people comfortably. And there were not a lot of options. And there was hardly ever hot water in the rooms to shower
Along main route, easy to find, served our purpose
The place is rather tired
The bed and room were clean and comfortable
The hotel had not reserved my room for the first night of stay and I was forced to stay in a motel besides....
The staff were friendly. And located next to an ice cream truck with a bajillion flavours. Close to restaurants and shopping. Fridge in the room.
Trains passing outside the back windows
Actually there's nothing really I liked about the hotel.
Hotel was booked for 2 nights, they forget to clean our room after 1st night. Not even toilet papers was there anymore. The Hallway is extremely narrow and smells bad all the time. Rooms smell like someone puked in there. Breakfast is free but and the place is so small that you won't even eat it.
Air conditioning did not adequately Train tracks immediately behind Didn't get any sleep at all!!
Smoking rooms avaliable
This econolodge location really suprised me as every econolodge ive stayed at went well beyond my expectations and is a really good chain but at econolodge south edmonton things are completely different. Too complicated to check in with company credit card. Cannot understand the staff nor can they understand you. Staff forgot to fax pre authorization form so ended up not being able to check in until after an hour. Rooms and halls are dirty, open electrical junction boxes in our room, and wifi suck
My daughters liked the beds as they like firmer mattresses. Blankets were very comfy. Room was clean. They do require some renovations but all in all in was a great place to stay.
The train running behind hotel, but that was on me for choosing place. For the amount of time, me and my two older kids spent in the room, it was a great deal.
Only worth it because it was $60/ night with the online discount.
I have stayed before in this establishment. Prices may change without warning, you may not get your deposit back, or if you're really lucky (I was earlier this week), you'll get called rude, and told you're not allowed to stay at all. If you do stay, the rooms are dank, stuffy, out dated and smell like old cigarettes. "Continental Breakfast" was a pit of coffee some oranges and some apples, which was fine because I had no appetite while being there anyway. Do not stay here.
Nice clean and cozy. Just a quick stay as we were passing through. The train was noisy and the room was very warm despite having the heat off. (March) it didn't detract from our stay too much. Overall thumbs up for the price.
The food could've been better for the breakfast.
everything, it stunk of smoke ,it was not a pleasant place, although renovations were starting on ground floor.
The staff were very friendly and cheerful.
There was no blind on the window over the sink so it was extremely bright in the morning. the air conditioning was maybe recently installed and there was plaster all around in on the wall without being painted. There was paint and plaster that was caked into the tub and the toilet did not flush properly. the room was very hot so we opened the window that had no blinds or curtains but than a train went through in the middle if the night obviously very noisy.
